Obituary for Thomas Carlson Kloos Thomas Carlson Kloos was born December 27, 1964 in Robbinsdale, Minnesota beloved firstborn to parents DuWayne and Joann (Carlson) Kloos. He passed away suddenly from a heart attack on June 9th, 2018 at his home in Round Rock, Texas. Tom grew up in Golden Valley, was educated in the Robbinsdale Area Schools, and graduated from Armstrong High School in 1983.

He attended the University of Minnesota. In 1987 Tom made a decision to make Austin, Texas his home, where he continued his education at Concordia University. His career included working as a counselor to troubled youth at CPC Capital Hospital in Austin and as a mental health specialist at Meridell Center in Liberty Hill, Texas.

In 2002 he began a nine year stint with Holden Graphics as director of printing services for St. David Hospitals and Clinics in greater Austin. His current position was with Sears Holdings at their call center in Round Rock. Thom had exceptional writing skills including authoring a screenplay and lyrics for a numer of songs and was a member of the ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers).

He was an amateur guitarist, collector of guitars and wrote several songs; one of which was used in a Hollywood movie(! ! ).

He was gifted with a quick wit and natural humor, was a deep thinker, an avid reader and a quiet gentle soul with a humble spirit. Tom stayed in daily contact with his parents and had a strong and abiding faith in God. Tom is survived by his parents, DuWayne and Joann; his brother, Steven Kloos and his wife Suzanne and their children Kaitlyn (Brent) Larson, Kelsie, and Wyatt; his sister, Julie Anderson and husband Troy and their children Brady, Ike and Tommy.

Visitation and Gathering will be held on Tuesday, June 19th from 5-8PM at Glen Haven Funeral Chapel and Memorial Gardens in Crystal, Minnesota with graveside service the following day at 11AM. There will be a luncheon following the graveside service at the funeral chapel.
