Thomas H Berger December 31, 2018 Send Flowers Sign Guestbook Thomas H. Berger, 89, of Londonderry passed away 3:38 a.m. Monday, December 31, 2018 in Valley View Care Center, Frankfort following an extended illness. He was born April 11, 1929 in Pickaway County to the late Arthur Peter and Josephine Marie Pugh Berger. In August 1970, he married the former Norma Jean Knisley who preceded him in death April 8, 2018.

Surviving are children, Cindy (Chuck) Ferrell, of Chillicothe, Mindy Brooks, Fred (Cindy) Mavis and Cindy (Dave) Lipscomb, both of Londonderry and Deborah (Robert) Peters, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Shawn and Stacey Sommers, Chris, Brandon and Nick Mavis, Mia Fisher, Sarah Ferrell and Jeremy Brown; several great grandchildren; a great great grandchild; a brother, David Berger, of Circleville and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson, Joey Brown; a brother, John Berger and a sister, Rosalie Berger. Thomas along with his wife owned and operated the Family Donut Shop in Londonderry for 30 years.

He was a U.S. Marine Corps Korean veteran and a livestock order buyer. Thomas was a former member of St. Peter Church. The family wishes to express a special “Thank You” to the staffs of NCR Hospice and Valley View Care Center for the wonderful care given to Tom and compassion shown to our family during this time.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2019 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Brett Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the service on Friday.
