Thomas Lee Everly, age 84, of Maidsville, passed away Monday morning, June 4, 2018 at his residence. Born January 9, 1934 in Morgantown, he was a son of the late Charles Guy Everly and the late Emma Jane (Cole) Everly. Survivors include his wife, Janet Louise Jordan Everly; two children, Thomas Guy Everly and his wife Cindy Lea of Morgantown, and Cynthia Fern Everly of Mt.

Hope, WV; his grandchildren, Ashley Jeannette Summers of Morgantown and Rachel Nicole Mitchell and her husband David of Maidsville; two great-grandsons, Brayden Wayne Summers and Cedar Thomas Mitchell; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, William Elmer Everly and his wife Virginia, and a brother-in-law, Bill Jones. Thomas was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean Conflict.

He worked for several years in the Maintenance Department of West Virginia University in many capacities. He was a member of the Joseph W. Summers Masonic Lodge #173, as well as the Canyon Senior Citizens where he enjoyed going to their meetings and dinners. His hobbies also included hunting, fishing, and reading – particularly books on history and those pertaining to the Civil War.
