Obituary Service Details Thomas L. Johnson- Funeral services will be held on Monday August 15, 2016, at 12 noon, at the New Zion Baptist Church, Alliance, Ohio, for Mr. Thomas Leslie Johnson, 62, who departed this life on Saturday, August 6, 2016, in Altman Hospital, after an extended illness. Mr. Johnson was born, February 2, 1954, in Alliance, a son of Charles and Dorothy Stephens Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a member of the church, a graduate of YSU in 1985, a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, a Scarlet Beret Color Guard, American Legion #166, a Masonic member, owner/operator of the Johnson Athletic Club, a boxer, an avid sports fan, a member of the 700 Club, and loved to play the lottery.

He leaves to cherish his memory his parents; brothers; Charles R. (Hanna) Johnson, Ira Johnson of Denver, CO. , Walter Johnson, and Darren Johnson both of Alliance, Oh. , sisters; Wilma (Erin) Madonna from Denver, and Vanessa (Clarence) Freeman of Alliance, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and other friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Johnson, and a sister Tammy Monroe. Friends may call from 11 am to 12 noon at the church.
