Fugate, Thomas L., 79, of Trotwood Ohio, born July 13, 1938 in Rogersville, TN to the late Fred and Louise (Clarkston) Fugate, passed away May 3, 2018 at Kettering Hospital. Thomas graduated from Swift High School, Rogersville, TN in 1956. He served in the U.S. Air Force.

He moved to Dayton, worked and retired from GM/Frigidaire/Delphi Thermal Systems Dept. 103 and 105. Thomas enjoyed fishing, gardening, and was a talented artist wood carver.

His main passion and biggest accomplishment was getting baptized and serving Jehovah God. Preceded in death by brothers, Fred and Charles Fugate; sisters, Anita Fugate Spears, Shirley Fugate Hoyle; grandson, Elmer Demar Rucker. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Virginia Fugate; sister, Nancy (Donwaun) Simonte; children, Kim (Leon) Carnes, Toni (Eric Younger) Jackson, Thomas Jr. (Rena) Fugate, Michael Fugate; grandchildren, Raphael (Chrystal) and Enreiko Jackson, Journey Younger, Thomas Fugate “Tom Tom”; great grandchildren, Draiden Moon, Liliana Jackson; a large extended family and loved ones.

Memorial service will be held 2 pm Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 465 W. Main St. Calling hour 1 pm at which time family will receive friends.
