Thomas’ Obituary Thomas Joseph Sieren, 65, of Leesburg, Virginia, passed away February 10, 2019. He was the son of the late Lloyd Sieren and Margaret (Lennex) Sieren of Toledo, Ohio. He was also predeceased by a brother, James Sieren.

His memory will be forever cherished by his wife Barbara and his daughters Clare and Audrey. He is also survived by sisters Catherine Ray (Robert), Barbara Freytag (David), Susan Crawford (Eugene), and Patricia Debo (Jeffrey) and a brother Joseph Sieren (Jeannie), as well as many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Tom had a special place in his heart for Napoleon, Ohio, where he spent a happy childhood.

He graduated from Whitmer High School and the University of Toledo. In 1981, he moved with his new bride to Loudoun County, Virginia, where he taught social studies for 33 years and was a well-loved track, wrestling, and football coach. A loving and devoted husband and father, Tom enjoyed traveling and spending time with both his nuclear and extended families.

He loved college football and all things history. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Road NE, Leesburg, Virginia 20176. A second visitation will be held Saturday, February 16, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Loudoun County Volunteer Rescue Squad by sending a check or money order payable to LCVRS13 to LCVRS, P.O. Box 1178, Leesburg, VA 20177.
