Obituary of Thomas A. Baka Thomas A. Baka, age 77 of McKeesport, died peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, Monday, March 11, 2019. He was born October 25, 1941 in Charleroi, the son of the late Michael A. and Mary Uchacz Baka. He worked as an electrician for U.S. Steel-Dravosburg and after retiring her loved driving for Access.

He was devoted to the Lord, an usher and member of First Baptist Church, McKeesport for 37 years. He was a regular donor to the American Red Cross and a lifelong fisherman. He was an avid bowler all of his life, and his teammates named their league “Baka’s Pirates” in honor of him.

Thomas enjoyed helping people in need and especially loved his family. He is survived by his wife Sharon Baka; son Thomas M. (Jennifer) Baka of New Castle, PA; daughters Pam (David) Jacobs of Edinburg, PA, Cynthia Baka of Monessen; sister Dorothy (Jim) Behbehanna of Harker Heights, TX; 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Thomas was preceded in death by his son Daniel, grandson Connor, and sister Eileen (Larry) Frolo.

Service will be held Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 4 pm at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation & Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, Supervisor 412-678-6177), with Rev. Gary LaPietra officiating. Family and friends will be received following the service from 4:30 pm until 6:30 pm.
