Thomasine “Tommie” Lindeman, 91, of Marquette, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018 under the care of UP Home Health & Hospice at Brookridge Heights Assisted Living. Tommie was born on August 3, 1927 in Marquette to the late S. Howard and Marie F. (Chiconsky) Connors. She was a 1945 graduate of Bishop Baraga High School and graduated in 1949 from Northern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education.

She retired in 1985 from the Marquette Public School System where she worked as a school teacher for many years. Tommie is survived by her children, Hetti (Jim) Bennie of Berrien Springs, MI and Stephen Lindeman of Channing, MI; grandchildren, Megan (Mark) Magyar and Brandon Bennie; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Patricia Ziller, husband Hank and infant daughter, Mary Charlene Lindeman. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 13th at 11 a.m. in St. Peter Cathedral. The Lindeman family will greet relatives and friends one hour prior to the Mass in the Bishop’s Room of the cathedral.

Entombment has taken place in the Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Bay Cliff Health Camp in Tommie’s memory.
