Thurston R. Kohler, 57, of Morton Grove, beloved husband of Kristy Bergslien; loving father of Melanie and Thurston William; dear brother of Bonny Kohler Baker; cherished son of the late Robert and Mary; devoted uncle of Laura and Erik Baker and Rebecca, Rachel, Max, Sam, Charlie, Jennifer, Jessica, Korey, Anna, Emily, Mallory, Maggie and Myles; valued and true friend of many. former member of Columbia Yacht Club, proud member of IGSS (Old Goats); graduate of Arizona St. University where he was a proud member of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity and graduate of University of San Diego Law School. T.R. loved to travel the world and studying at the University of Salzburg and Oxford University in addition to his semester studying at sea.

Visitation at Simkins Funeral Home 6251 Dempster St. Morton Grove on Sunday March 31st from 2 to 7 p.m. Lying in state at Glenview Community Church 1000 Elm St. Glenview, IL on Monday April 1st from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Interment Ridgewood Cemetery. Memorial donations will be added to Melanie and Thurston Williams’ education account.
