Tilda Mae Giddens Ray, 88, of Rhine, died Saturday, June 23. Funeral services will be held at 11:00A.M., Tuesday, June 26, at Bethel United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is Monday, 6:00-8:00P.M. at Vaughn Funeral Home, McRae.

A native and lifelong resident of Telfair County, Ms. Ray was the daughter of the late Chess and Claudie Hart Giddens and was the wife of the late Edison H. Ray, Sr. A homemaker for most of her life, she had also worked at Roydon Wear and Roper. Ms. Ray was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and an Eastern Star member. Survivors include her children, Charlotte (George) Vestal of Vienna, Frankie Whittaker of Kingman, AZ and Edison (Janice) Ray, Jr. of Rhine; grandchildren, Celeste (Jennie) Jenkins, Selena (Jonathan) Hall, Janet (Darrell) Waldron and Sara (Brandon) Massey; and great-grandchildren, Sawyer Waldron, Jon Michael Hall, Ava Massey, Reed Sheddan and Annie Batista.
