Mrs. Tina Batey Davis, 68 of the Nances Creek Community passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at her residence. She was an LPN at Piedmont Hospital in the ER for 35 years, worked as a volunteer with the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department Reserve, taught first aid and CPR with the American Red Cross for 20 years, was a nurse at Diamond Carpet Mills and ConAgra. She was a member of Nances Creek Congregational Holiness Church.

She loved wrestling as much as she loved living and enjoyed being an agitator at the wrestling matches. She was preceded in death by her parents: Hugh Lee and Esther Ginn Batey; brother: Dennis Hugh Batey; and great grandchild: Gabrielle London. Survivors include her husband, Robert Neal Davis; sons: Kenneth Haney and Zach Davis; daughters: Anggie Loretta (Wendell) Peoples and Catherine Yvonne (Tony) Green; brothers: Jerry Lee (Betty) Batey, Terry Wayne (Paula) Batey, and Lynnis Eric (Cindy) Batey; grandchildren: Quinella Dean Haney, Kenneth Boodman, Claire Taylor, Anggie Christine Jones, and Robert Wayne Barrett; and great grandchildren: Tynaisa London and Kyrus Torain.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 7, 2019 at 2:00 PM from Dansby Heritage Chapel with visitation from 12- 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Carmel Cemetery in Spring Garden. Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Davis Family.
