Tonya Kroeze, 46, of Verdon, NE, passed away May 4, 2019 at Verdon. The daughter of Harry T. and Leslie Smith who was born August 17, 1972. She married Monty Kroeze on May 29, 1999 at Verdon, NE.

Tonya was raised at Omaha and moved to Verdon in 1990 and she worked as a CNA for Sabetha Manor at Sabetha, KS for seventeen years. She was a member First United Methodist Church at Falls City and a member of Santee Sioux Nation. Tonya is survived by her husband, Monty of Verdon, children, Natasha Kroeze of Reserve, KS, Gary Kroeze of Verdon, parents, Harry T. and Leslie Smith of Omaha, brothers, Charlie, Jermain and Josh Smith all of Omaha, grandson, Declane Herwig.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Justine Smith. Her memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Reverend Young Je Kim officiating.
