Funeral service: 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 25, 2019 at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook 76126. Burial: 1:00 p.m., Monday at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas.

Visitation: 4-6:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home. Terry was born in Baleno, Masbate, Philippines on March 7, 1945 to Francisco and Digna Evangelista. She was one of twelve children.

As a young adult, she moved to Angeles City. There she met her husband of 37 years, Donnie Ray Meyer Sr., who was stationed at Clark Air Force Base. They married Aug.

2, 1969. She often spoke of the night they met (he was wearing a red shirt with a bottle of Crown Royal slung over his shoulder) and reminisced about their nights dancing and listening to music at the NCO club. In 1974, Donnie was then stationed at Carswell Air Force Base.

After his retirement they decided to make Fort Worth their home where they went on to raise their five children. One of her proudest accomplishments was when she became a United States citizen on March 27, 1986. She worked for over 20 years at Angelos BBQ, where she considered her coworkers her second family.

You could find her there six days a week. At night, you could find her at the nearby bingo hall. All times in between were spent taking care of her husband, children, and grandchildren.

Terry loved cooking for her family and friends. Any occasion called for large amounts of Philippine cuisine. She was loved by many and known for her kindness and gentle nature.

“I just love your Mom! ” was heard often from any one she had contact with. She wanted to help in any way she could to make your life easier.

She will be missed. Terry was preceded in death by her husband, Donnie Ray Meyer Sr.; son, Arnel Evangelista; grandson, Brandon James Meyer; and granddaughter, Alexis Teryn Shaw. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Hobaugh and husband, Richard of North Richland Hills; son, Mark Meyer and Bobby Meyer of Fort Worth, and Donnie Meyer Jr. and wife, Sonya of Arlington; grandchildren, Miranda and Tamara Shaw, Ryan, Lily, Dylan, Taylor and Hailey Meyer, Megan Trebilcock, Halie and Richard (Jr.

) Hobaugh, Brandi Evangelista, Cheyenne, Casey and Chelsie King; Clay and Courtney Turner and other loved family members.
