Troy Terry, 88, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, May 11, 2019. He was born on June 27, 1930 to the late Willie and Martha Terry (Riley). Mr. Terry honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He was a career bricklayer and a home builder. Mr. Terry was a member of the Bricklayers Union Local #4. He was a member of the Christian Assembly Church located in Louisville, Kentucky for 57 years.

He enjoyed Hunting, fishing and spending time in the great outdoors, but most of all he enjoyed the time he spent with his family. Mr. Terry was preceded in death by his two brothers, Paul and Bob Terry and by his two sisters, Dorothy Holland and Mary Smith. Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Betty Terry of Sellersburg, his sons, Steve Terry (Chrisanna) of Sellersburg, Mark Terry (Stacy) of Henryville, his sister, Thelma Johnson (Edward) of Austin, Indiana, granddaughters, Melissa Terry Wolf and Kayla Todd.

Mr. Terry also leaves behind three great grandchildren, Rain Wolf, Bryce Todd and Kaylee Todd. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Christian Assembly Church Cemetery in Louisville. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
