OBITUARY Trudy DiNardo February 22, 1958 – November 23, 2018 Trudy Cravatta DiNardo was born to eternal life on November 23, 2018 while visiting her mother and sister in Massachusetts. She was a devoted wife to her husband of thirty years, John DiNardo; a caring mother to son Christopher John and daughter Johanna Mary; a loving daughter to her mother Helen Dyer Cravatta and her late father, Salvatore Cravatta, Jr.; and loving sister to Beatrice Cravatta both of Salem, Massachusetts. Trudy was born in 1958 and grew up in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

She attended St. Ann’s Academy, St. Mary’s School, Bishop Hoban High School, Allentown College of St Francis de Sales (now DeSales University) where she earned a BA in Theater and Speech Communications and Bloomsburg University where she earned an MA in Communications. She taught middle and high school English but her true loves were to lead cultural arts activities in elementary and middle schools, to participate in Clown Ministry as Sparky, and to nurture her dogs. In the 1990’s, she developed and led a Vacation Bible School at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Strafford, PA.

Trudy devoted countless hours to her children as a proud mother, coach, and cheerleader. She enjoyed travel and looked forward to yearly vacations at Bethany Beach, DE. With a caring, joyful heart and vivacious personality, Trudy was a great friend to so many.

She was supported by family, friends, and health professionals through fifteen months of treatment for pancreatic cancer and faced the end of her earthly life with faith, courage, and activity. She will be truly missed by her family and friends but memories of her contagious spirit and love will live on. Trudy’s family asks you to participate in a celebration of her life.

An evening visitation will be held at Alleva Funeral Home, Paoli, PA on Thursday, November 29th from 6-8pm. On Friday, a morning visitation will be held at St. Norbert Catholic Community, Paoli, PA from 9-10:15am followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 am and burial at at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA. As a tribute to Trudy’s colorful life, consider coming colorfully dressed!

In lieu of flowers, Trudy requested that donations be made to the DeSales University Theatre Program for a named scholarship in Trudy’s name.
