Valerie Ann Webster December 03, 1942 – March 05, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook Paid obituary with picture Times Argus Montpelier, VT Valerie A. Webster, 75, a life long resident of the Central Vermont area, went to be with her Lord on March 2, 2019, in her home in Montpelier, VT. Valerie was born on December 3, 1942 to Ruth C. (Short) and Frederick B. Webster at the Heaton Hospital in Montpelier, VT. Valerie graduated, with several awards for shorthand, from St. Michael’s High School in 1961.

She started her career with AAA, working for them for over 5 years. She transitioned to the State of Vermont DMV where she found her home for the next 38 years, retiring at age 62 in 2003. She built her own little corner of the world, a small ranch house in Riverton, VT in 1978.

She enjoyed being outside working on her lawn and flower gardens. She loved animals and had a big dog house where she always had a place for a puppy. In 2013 she moved into Montpelier to be close to her friends and church.

She was a devoted member of St. Augustine’s Church. Valerie loved spending time with her closest friends Betty Blouin, Lydia Lewis, Pam Lavanway, and her Saturday Night Live gang. Valerie is survived by Tom & Cindy Webster of Seminole, Florida; Kathy Webster of Eugene, Oregon; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her mother Ruth, her brother Fred, Uncle Leo Short, Leslie & Margaret Brown, Albert & Irene Blouin, and Kitty Covey. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Central Vermont Humane Society or a local food bank. There will be calling hours on Saturday, March 9th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral and burial will be made at a later date.
