OBITUARY Valerie Searcy Thompson July 20, 1917 – December 2, 2018 Valerie Searcy Thompson, of Childersburg, age 101, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018. She is survived by her daughter, Connie Nickolson (Gary P.), son, Jimmy Thompson (Karan), brother, Roy Searcy, grandchildren: Denis Nickolson (Kelly), Dawn Thompson Cotter (Grady), and Jimmy Thompson (Lindsay), six great grandchildren, and a host of nieces. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Handley Thompson, daughter, Debra Lynn Thompson, five brothers, and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at Curtis and Son’s Childersburg Chapel, Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 1pm, with a visitation from 11am until 1pm. The family would like to thank the staff of Sylacauga Health and Rehab for the love and care they showed Mrs. Thompson during her stay there. Online condolences can be made at www.
