OBITUARY Vannoy G. Baxley August 11, 1938 – September 7, 2018 Vannoy Geraldine Baxley, 80 of Valley, Alabama passed away Friday, September 7, 2018 at her home. A graveside memorial service will be held Monday September 10, 2018 at 2:00pm EDT at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, according to Striffler-Hamby in Phenix City, AL. Mrs. Baxley was born August 11, 2018 in Murphy, North Carolina; daughter of the late Clarence and Margaret Radford Cornwell.

She was retired from Kmart as a Personnel Manager. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Horace L. Baxley. Survivors include her children, Van Baxley and wife, Sherry of Smiths, AL, Laura Worthy and husband, James of Valley, AL, two sisters, Joann Kelley of Clyde, NC, Brenda Sapp of Rincon, GA; grandchildren, Brandon Baxley and wife, Jordan of Huntsville, AL, Matthew Worthy of Opelika, AL, Sarah Phillips and husband, Dustin of Saraland, AL, Megan Worthy of Huntsville, AL, Tanner Hayes of Augusta, GA, one great grandchild, Rowan Baxley, numerous nieces and nephews.
