Obituary for Vanolah Faye Thornton Vanolah Faye Thornton, age 73, of Eastland went home to be with her Lord Friday, November 2, 2018. Services are pending for Tuesday, November 6th. Vanolah was born June 2, 1945 in Arlington, Texas to Joseph Edward Herbst and Willie Mae (Reese) Herbst.

She was well known in the community for her more than 25 years of service with Walmart. She married Leon Thornton September 24, 2005 in their home in Cisco. She was a member of the Leon River Cowboy Church.

She loved the color red and all of her children. To her family she was a loving mother and Nana to them all and will greatly be missed. Vanolah is survived by her husband, Leon Thornton of Cisco; son, Jimmy Cornel Humphrey of Alcoa, TN; daughter, Deanna Lynn Greene of Eastland; sister, Jessie Odell Joyner of Ranger; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, a sister, Billie Virginia Montgomery, and brother, Bobby Dale Herbst. In lieu of flowers the family has requested, if you would like to, for help with funeral expenses. Also, the family request you wear something of the color red to her services to honor the loving memory of Vanolah.
