Vera Boling Childress, 90 widow of Paul Thomas Childress, passed away on April 29, 2019 at her home. A native of Greenville, daughter of the late William Roy and Flossie Greer Boling. Surviving are her daughter, Gail P. Presher of Greenville; one sister, Betty Creswell of Greenville; eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Childress was predeceased by a daughter, Susan V. Hudson; a son, David T. Penland, Sr.; three brothers; one sister and one great-grandson, Shane R. Limbaugh. A memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2019 at The Wood Mortuary conducted by Rev. Marty Price.
