Vera L. (Miller) Hunt, 88, died on Monday afternoon, April 29, 2019 in University Nursing Center, Upland. She was born in Marion on July 30, 1930, the daughter of the late James and Gladys (Humphrey) Miller. Vera married Max Hunt in 1948.

Together they shared 43 years, before he preceded her in death on December 30, 1991. Mrs. Hunt, who was a lifelong resident of Upland, was formerly employed with Delta Electric. She attended Grace Community Church, Marion, for many years.

Survivors include a son: Gary (Arlene) Hunt, Upland; a daughter: Kim (Keven) Pratt, Upland; three sisters: Marge Nantz, Upland; Betty Smith, Marion; and Ann (David) Atkins, Marion; a brother: Red Miller, Fort Wayne; five grandchildren: Tammie, Teri, Suzie, Kory, and Kody; and four great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Woody Miller, Pete Miller, and Bud Miller; and three sisters-in-law: Maxine Barnard, Lucille Ballinger, and Velma Benefield. Arrangements were entrusted to the Jones-Smith Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 259 N. Main St., Upland, Indiana where a visitation will be held on from Noon – 2pm, Friday, May 3, 2019.

The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Cemetery, Upland.
