A funeral procession will form at the funeral home on Saturday at 9:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church.

Burial will follow in Rosendale Plains Cemetery. Verda M. Raskoski, 94, of DeWitt Mills Road died at her home Tuesday, May 14, 2019. Born April 23, 1925 in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Veronica (Hoffman) Golnek.

Verda was employed as a unit coordinator at Kingston Hospital. Previously she was employed in local cigar and shirt factories, Hercules Powder Company, and also New York Telephone. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Immaculate Conception Rosary Society, and The Devine Mercy Perpetual Adoration Chapel of Ulster County.

In her younger years she was a member of Post 1219 Auxiliary Tillson American Legion, Tillson Fire Company, and she ran the kitchen for Saint Peter’s Rosendale Bingo. Verda is survived by her sons: Fred Conner and his wife Dawn, and William Conner; her daughter Sharon Cancellaro; step children Jim and Teri Raskoski; her grandchildren Shay and Loren Wangstad, Joseph Fusaro, Daniel and Anthony Cancellaro, Brian and Adam Conner, Robert, Jessie, William and Emma Conner. Great grandchildren Destany and Adrianna Cancellaro, Lauren Anne Predmore, Andrew Wangstad, Sage Fusaro, Maryanna Butler, Makai Arrindell, and Majestic McKay.

Great great grandchild Brooke Predmore. She was predeceased by her husbands Sidney Conner and Raymond Raskoski; Her daughter Kathleen Fusaro; her siblings Herman Golnek, Charles Golnek, Ruth Glowinski, and Alma Golnek. , and her son-in-laws Pat Fusaro and Robert Cancellaro.

The family would like to thank the Hospice of Ulster County staff for the care and compassion shown to Verda during this most difficult time.
