VERN GEORGE SHARBAUGH December 02, 1947 – April 27, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guestbook Entries| Send Sympathy Card Vern George Sharbaugh, age 71, of Rocky River, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on April 27, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents Regis and Margie Sharbaugh and his brother Jay. Vern was the devoted husband of 49 years to Nancy Sharbaugh (MacNamee), loving father of Rececca Muth (Jeffrey) of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Kellie Sharbaugh.

He was the adored grandfather to Piper Anne Muth. Born in McKeesport, PA, Vern’s love for athletics led him to play football and baseball at Baldwin Wallace University. He was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2014.

He continued his passion for football as a coach at Midpark High School, Wayne State University, Eastern Michigan University, Boston College, Kent State University and Rocky River High School. After coaching, he proceeded to build a successful career as an NFL agent. Vern’s influence on athletes and students, as well as his love for friends and family were immeasurable.

VISITATION AT THE BERRY-McGREEVEY FUNERAL HOME, 26691 DETROIT RD. (One mile west of Columbia Rd. ) WESTLAKE, SUNDAY, MAY 5, 2019 FROM 3-8 P.M. Tribute and Celebration of his life will be held on Monday, May 6, 2019 at 4:30 P.M. with a reception to follow at Strosacker Student Union; Baldwin Wallace University, 125 Tressel St., Berea, OH.
