Verna Arlene Jones Verna passed away at home on March 6, 2019 of natural causes at the age of 77. She was born in Huntington, Utah on August 22, 1941 to James Albert Jones and Myrtle Ilean Rowley. She graduated from Carbon High School in 1959.
She worked at the East Carbon theaters as manager of the concession stand. She was a teacher’s aid at Bruin Elementary school for 27 years. Verna was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ (LDS) and served in many positions.
She played the piano for many years in church services. She will be missed by all. Verna is survived by her brother Wayne (Loretta) of Brigham City, and sisters Shirley Daley of Provo and Reva Paulson (George) of West Valley.
Verna never married but had 9 nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. Preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Glen Daley. At Verna’s request there will be no funeral.
There will be a viewing Saturday, March 16th, 2019 from 9am to 10am at the Fausett Mortuary in Price, Ut. Graveside service will follow at the Huntington Cemetery at 11:00am. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary and family and friends can sign the online guestbook at fausettmortuary.com.
