Vernon Arnold, age 59, of Surrency died Monday, February 18, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Arnold was born September 2, 1959 in Jesup, Georgia. He was a member of Zion Church of God and retired from ITT Rayonier.

Mr. Arnold was preceded in death by his father, Miriam Leon Arnold. Survivors include his mother, Barbara Ann Smith Arnold of Goose Creek, SC; sister, Gwen Starrick of Goose Creek, SC; brother & sister in law, Lynn & Melissa Arnold of Surrency; nieces & nephews, Matthew Starrick of Surrency, Megan (Shawn) Dowers of Summerville, SC, Lyndsey (Weston) Skinner and Jody (Haley) Arnold both of Surrency. Five great nieces & nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 21, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Zion Church of God with Rev. Danny Horne and Gwen Starrick officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Church of God Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers will be Matthew Starrick, Jody Arnold, Jason Rainwater, Randy Crawford, Timmy Rainwater, Caleb Fowler, Ryan Perry, Bryan Perry, C J Arnold, Donnie Hardee, Lee Fowler & Tripp Pearce. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Remembrances may be made to Zion Church of God Building Fund, 116 Pratt Hutto Road, Surrency, Georgia 31563.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
