Vernon Orville Alcorn, age 63 of Brodhead, KY, passed away December 14th, 2018 at the Jean Waddle Care Center, Hospice of Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital at Somerset, KY. He was born December 7th, 1955 in Somerset, KY; to Orville and the late Ruby Delorise Marler Alcorn. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church #2.

He worked construction, installing and repairing HVAC. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, ginseng digging, and camping. He is survived by his father: Orville Alcorn of Mt.

Vernon, KY; five brothers: Edward Earl “Eddie” Alcorn of Mt. Vernon, KY; Fred Walter Alcorn (Jan) of Livingston, KY; Rodney Alcorn of Mt. Vernon, KY; Randall Alcorn (Cindy) of Mt.

Vernon, KY; and Shelley Alcorn (Laurie) of Mt. Vernon, KY; two sisters: Cynthia Leona Harms (Jeff) of Mt. Vernon, KY and Judy Katherine Jones (Ken) of Knoxville, TN.

He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Besides his mother he was preceded in death by a brother: Charles Jeffery Alcorn. Visitation Service for Vernon Orville Alcorn will be Monday, December 17th, from 11 A.M. – 2 P.M. at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.

Funeral service will be Monday, December 17th, at 2 P.M. at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals Chapel. Burial will follow in the Freedom Cemetery.
