Vicente T. Rodriguez age 90, of Upper Sandusky, died at his residence on Saturday February 23, 2019. He was born April 5, 1928 to the late Candelario and Porfiria (Torres) Rodriguez. He married Maria Coronado on July 28, 1948 in San Marcos, TX and she survives in Upper Sandusky.
Vicente is also survived by his children Vicente (Norma Jean) Rodriguez Jr., Upper Sandusky, Irene (Ralph) Bess, Harpster, Maria Rodriguez, San Antonio, TX, Beatrice (George) Human, Kirby, Rita (Kyle) Hetzel, Upper Sandusky, Lisa (Robert) Johnson, Upper Sandusky, 12 grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 10 step great grandchildren, 5 step great great grandchildren and a sister Rosa (Reuben) Rall, Upper Sandusky. He is preceded in death by a son Luis Rodriguez and a brother Ted Lopez. Mr. Rodriguez worked for Niederkohr Brothers Construction and then retired from Guardian Industries in 1989 after fifteen years of employment.
He was a member of Transfiguration of The Lord Catholic Parish. Mr. Rodriguez was also a member of Knights of Columbus #2050, BPOE #83, Amvets #777, VFW #2842, American Legion #225, Moose #1093 and Eagles #2184. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Wednesday February 27, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Chapel, Kirby followed by a Catholic Prayer and Remembrance Service at 7pm.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00am Thursday February 28, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Chapel, Kirby with Father Antony Varghese Vattaparambil OFM, Conv. and Deacon Kevin Wintersteller officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Wyandot County Council on Aging, St. Mary’s Catholic Chapel (window restoration fund) or Hospice of Wyandot County in care of Bringman Clark Funeral Home 226 E. Wyandot Ave.
