Obituary for Victor J. Lajeunesse, Jr. Victor J Lajeunesse, age 86 of Longwood, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 12, 2018. Vic was born February 11, 1932, in Schenectady, NY. where he attended VanAntwerp Elementary School.
After his family moved to Canton, Ohio, he attended Lehman High School, then graduated from John Carrol University in Cleveland. He married Patricia M. Swain of East Cleveland, Ohio, in June 20, 1959. Vic was a devoted husband and father, and actively involved in the community, as a Cub Scout Troop Leader and Manager / Director of the South Euclid Boys Baseball League.
Prior to forming VJL Financial Services in 1983, he was employed at Weatherhead, Co., CIT and Corp and Central National Bank of Cleveland. In 1988 Vic and his wife, Pat relocated to Longwood, Florida, and members of Annunciation Catholic Church. Vic enjoyed playing tennis, working on major projects and in the yard, playing bridge, was a huge fan of the Rays, playing scrabble, Chinese checkers and doing crossword puzzles.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia and brother Thomas R Lajeunesse and Parents Victor J Lajeunesse, Sr. and Beatrice (nee Renaud). Survivors include sons Bryan Lajeunesse of Parma, Ohio and Kevin Lajeunesse and Daughter in Law, Maria Gabriela Lajeunesse of Altamonte Springs, and Daughter, Cheryl Metzger of Medina, Ohio. He leaves 5 grandchildren: Alyssa, Adam, Alayna, Danielle and Lindsay; 2 great grandchildren: Ellie and Kylee; His sister Louise Beitzel of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and Sister In-Law Elizabeth Lajeunesse of Chardon, Ohio, 5 nephews and 2 nieces.
