Victoria Grajales, 91 of Matawan, Old Bridge Township, went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by her family at her home on April 29, 2019. Born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico she lived in Brooklyn before moving to Matawan over 40 years ago. Victoria had a love for gardening and flowers, she had a natural green thumb when it came to planting.

She enjoyed music and dancing throughout her life and even later in her years, when she had a walker would still have a little “bop” to her. Her infectious and generous personality threw people to her. She was loved and cherished by her family.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Francisco Garjales in 2009. She is survived by her daughters, Carmen Flores and husband Santiago of Old Bridge, Dinorah “Nory” Grajales of Queens, NY, three grandchildren, James and wife Lisa, Christopher and wife Melissa, Michael and wife Sherry, and her three beloved great grandchildren Matthew, David, Serrina. Family and friends are invited to remember Victoria during visitation hours on Thursday, May 2 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Old Bridge Funeral Home, 2350 Route 516, Old Bridge.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, May 3 10:15AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park, East Brunswick. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Victoria’s name to the American Cancer Society via www.
