Viola Mae Jeffries, age 61, of Whitehall, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018 in Grand Rapids. She was born December 19, 1956 in Shelby, the daughter of Arthur and Margaret (Moore) Jeffries. Viola enjoyed cooking, plants, shopping, karaoke and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Cynthia (Rich) Bronkema and Kirt (Angela) Jeffries; her grandchildren, Jacob Reagan, Christopher Reagan, Samantha Reagan, Dakota Armstrong, Jarvis Jeffries and Phoebe Jeffries; stepgrandchildren, Nicole (Jordan) Betts, Ryan Bronkema and Kameron Bronkema; great-grandchildren, Jason Betts, Anakin Reagan, Troy Betts, Ian Betts, Lana Reagan, Thea Betts and Brock Bowler, Jr.; brother, Royce (Christine) Jeffries; and sisters, Beverly (Jerry) Williamson and Judy Shellhouse. Viola was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Marjorie May Jeffries; and brothers, Floyd and Arthur Jeffries. Visitation is Sunday, May 20th beginning at 1 pm with the funeral service to follow at 2 pm at Harris Funeral Home in Shelby.
