Violet (Stevens) Aiello, 85, a lifelong resident of Cicero, passed away October 31, 2018. She was born in Phoenix, NY, the daughter of Julius and Violet Zollo Stevens and was a communicant of Scared Heart Church, Cicero. She was a graduate of North Syracuse High School and started her career as a teacher’s aide at Lakeshore Road Elementary School and then retired as a secretary for General Electric.

After retirement she worked for three years at Child Time Daycare preparing meals. Violet enjoyed lunch dates with her close friends and high school classmates, spending time with her extended family and working in her yard. She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Robert Aiello, their daughter, JoAnn Ciecierski and their son, Paul Aiello and her siblings, Flora Caltabiano, Paul, Julius and Vincent Stevens.

She is survived by sister, Rosemary Wossner of Cicero; her son-in-law, Jim Ciecierski of Cicero; a sister-in-law, Betty Stevens; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are Monday Nov. 5th at 9:30am in Sears Middleton Mathewson Funeral Home and 10am in Sacred Heart Church, Cicero.

Burial will follow in North Syracuse Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday Nov. 4th from 4-7pm at the funeral home, 209 N. Main St., North Syracuse.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be sent to the Bob Allison Ataxia Research Center, Minnesota Medical Foundation, 200 Oak St. SE, Suite 300, Minneapolis, MN 55456-2030.
