Obituary for Virgie Blanton “Cricket” Flannery (Moore) Print Cricket Flannery, 82, of Grayson, KY passed away Monday, February 4, 2019 at her residence. She was born January 22, 1937 in Grayson to the late Dave and Alice Moore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Claude Blanton and John Flannery; three stepsons, Kenneth Flannery, Cecil Flannery, and Leonard Blanton; four sisters, Doris Clark, Jenny Caldwell, Madonna Wilburn, and Ruby Marshall.
Cricket was a housewife and a member of the Lower Stinson Community Church. She is survived by a stepson, David Flannery of Flatwoods; two stepdaughters, Lucille Sallie of Rush and Helen Hemelgarn of Michigan; a sister, Sarah Blanton of Grayson; a special nephew, David Blanton of Grayson; a host of special grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday, February 8, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson, Billy Sammons and Ed McKinney, ministers.
Burial will follow in the Cribbs Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences at www.
