OBITUARY Virginia Aileen Laxson March 20, 1920 – October 20, 2018 Virginia Laxson passed away October 20, 2018 at the age of 98. She was born March 20, 1920 in Oklahoma City. Virginia joined the Army just prior to WWII as a 2nd LT in the Army Nursing Corp and was assigned to Brook Army Medical Center at Ft.

Sam Houston in San Antonio. She soon met and married Aleck Laxson. Her love of nursing lead her to later become a school nurse for SAISD for 20 years.

Highland Terrace Methodist Church was her church home and an integral part of her family’s life for over 60 years. Mrs. Laxson is survived by son, Ricky Laxson and wife Barbara of San Antonio; daughter-in-law, Mary Thomas Laxson, Canyon Lake, TX; grandchildren, Brandon Laxson and wife Katie, Meredith Laxson McEntire and husband Mark; and four great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years Aleck Laxson and son Wayne Laxson.

The Visitation will be 2 p.m., Friday, October 26, 2018 followed way a 3 p.m., Funeral Service at Sunset Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. FAMILY Mrs. Laxson is survived by son, Ricky Laxson and wife Barbara of San Antonio; daughter-in-law, Mary Thomas Laxson, Canyon Lake, TX; grandchildren, Brandon Laxson and wife Katie, Meredith Laxson McEntire and husband Mark; and four great grandchildren.
