Obituary for Virginia Ann Straub Virginia Ann “Mom Mom Gin” (Stehman) Straub, 82, of Leesport, passed away April 30, 2018, at the Reading Hospital. She was the loving wife of Gerald R. Straub. They married on October 20, 1956.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Kathryn (Reigel) Stehman. Virginia was a graduate of Abington Nursing School. She was employed by Wernersville Hospital and Berks Heim Nursing Home as a registered nurse.

Virginia was a member of Epler’s United Church of Christ, Leesport. She enjoyed bird watching, camping and spending time with her family. Her ability to strike up a conversation with anyone; her warm, caring, selfless personality and her great sense of humor will be sincerely missed by all.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Rory, husband of Julie, Sinking Spring, Randall, husband of Bonnie, Fleetwood and Robert, husband of Judy, Reading. One brother, Donald, husband of Georgine Stehman, Sinking Spring; and four grandchildren, Derek Straub, Kristen Straub, Taylor Straub and Austin Straub also survive her. A memorial service will be Saturday, May 5, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Epler’s U.C.C, 1151 W Leesport Rd, Leesport, PA 19533 with burial to follow at adjoining cemetery.

Friends may call Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Epler’s U.C.C. building fund or designated to the church choir at the above address. Gin’s request is for all in attendance to dress casually.
