Virginia Dobbs Lee of Temple passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019 in a local health facility. She was born in Draketown, October 29, 1928, daughter of the late James Chesley (Chet) Dobbs, Sr. and Jessie Wright Dobbs. Mrs. Lee was a retired employee of Sewell Manufacturing Company and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Howard T. Lee, Sr. a son, Howard Thomas (Tommy) Lee, Jr.; a grandchild, Kyle Alden Lee and… a brother, James Chesley ( J, C.) Dobbs, Jr. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Allison Lee of Gulf Shores, AL; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Alan Mote of Carrollton; a daughter-in-law, Frances Lee Moore of Carrollton; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and a sister, Betty Jo Tuggle of Temple. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM.

Services will be Saturday, February 23 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Dr. J. Howard Mills officiating. Grandchildren Stacey, Lindsay and Ronnie will give the eulogy. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Ronnie Lee, Robbie Lee, Garrett Mote, Parker Mote, Christopher Lee, Gabriel Lee, Matt Orr and Jason Agan.

Will Orr, Zach Agan, Blake Agan, Mackenzie Lee, Carolina Lee and Addison Orr will serve as honorary pallbearers. Interment will follow in Riverside Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Todd Wright officiating. Share your thoughts and memories in the guestbook at www.
