OBITUARY Virginia Brown December 22, 1941 – December 29, 2018 Virginia Brown passed away in Diamondhead, Mississippi on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the age of 77. She is preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Deeters; father, Charles Deeters; husband, Augustus Brown III; and half brother, Eugene Spencer. She is survived by her daughters, Marie Menard (Michael) and Karen Sketteno Peschlow; her sons, Michael A. Brown and Mark A. Brown; her grandchildren, Jason, Christopher, and Benjamin Menard (Carmen), Vincent and Zachary Sketteno, Chad, Ashley, and Brittany Brown, and Nicholas and Ryan Brown.

She was a retired teacher’s assistant from Jefferson Parish School System. She volunteered with the Feed Homebound at Most Holy Trinity Church in Pass Christian, MS, the thrift store of St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Clare’s Church in Waveland, MS, and St. Joseph’s Church Feed the Homeless program in New Orleans, LA. She was a member of Red Hat Society of Hancock County and the Newcomers Club of Gulfport, MS and the Krewe of Isis in Metairie, LA.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd in New Orleans, on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 2pm. Visitation will begin at 10:30am. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
