Granveside services for Virginia Carol Heddins, 87, of Edgewood, TX, are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, December 28, 2018, at Creagerville Cemetery in Grand Saline. A visitation will be held from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Edgewood, two hours prior to service time. Virginia Carol Lawrence was born February 16, 1931, in Sylamore, AR, to James Franklin Lawrence and Jessie Evelyn Payne.

She was raised in Sylamore, AR and graduated Sylamore High School. Virginia met Kirby William Heddins and they married in 1950. She and Kirby lived in Mesquite.

Virginia was a homemaker while raising her two children, Carolyn and Rickey. She and Kirby moved to Edgewood in 1983 and Virginia was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant for Heritage Manor in Canton. She loved to sew and garden and to take care of her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Kirby Heddins; her parents, James and Jessie Lawrence; son, Rickey Heddins and great-great grandson, Abel Lunsford. Virginia is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Harrell and husband, Gerald, of Edgewood; brother, Gary Lawrence of Arkansas; sister, Shirley Nanny of Arkansas; grandchildren, Gabrielle Butler and husband, Brandon, of Oak Grove, LA, Gerald Harrell II and wife, Ashley, of Edgewood, TX, Justin Harrell and wife, Cindy, of Troup, TX, Sarah Heddins of Philadelphia, PA, Joseph Heddins of Norman, OK, and eight great grandchildren.
