Virginia Lee Day, of Butler, formerly of Eau Claire, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday while under the care of the VNA Inpatient Hospice. Born 08-11-1932, in Eau Claire, she was the daughter of the late Bessie (Mann) Meals and William C. Meals. She was married in 1956 to Merle D. Day, who passed away May 23, 1990.

Virginia was Methodist by faith, being one of the oldest members of the Bethel United Methodist Church of EauClaire, since 1947. Virginia was a graduate of Concord High School. She resided in Eau Claire for 66 years, as a homemaker, then residing her remainder life in Butler.

She was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 60. Surviving are a son, James A. (Denise) Day of Butler, a daughter Laurie L. (Bradley) McDonald of Butler, a granddaughter, Emily McDonald of Butler, two step-grandsons, Craig Warheit and Dana Warheit, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Clifford Meals, her parents, and husband.
