Virginia F. Nicklas, 95 of Valparaiso, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Avalon Springs Health Campus in Valparaiso. She was born August 7, 1923 in Berwyn, Illinois to Frank and Katherine (Rachek) Holecek. On July 29, 1944, she married Robet E. Nicklas who passed away in 1994.

Virginia is survived by her son Robert (Carol) Nicklas of Valparaiso, her daughter Donna Orseno of Port St. Lucie, Florida, her grandchildren Lisa, Tina, Shawn, Jeffrey, and Gregory; her great grandchildren Anya, Hans, Jose, Michelle, Jessica, Kara, Shane and Samuel; and her great granddaughter Maya. In addition to her husband, Virginia was preceded in death by her parents. She was a 1941 Morton East High School graduate in Cicero, Illinois and retired from Pure Oil where she was a secretary.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM. Friday, May 31st at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St. in Valparaiso. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of services.

Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Forest Park, Illinois.
