Obituary for Virginia “Jean” Morris Virginia “Jean” Louise Morris, 85, of McGehee, AR, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018. She was born June 28, 1933 in Danville, AR to the late Otto and Cora Carr Irons. Jean was co-owner and operator with her husband of several businesses in McGehee, which included the Wash Tub, Jean’s Designs and John Morris Cotton.

She was an excellent cook and was very talented in Arts and Crafts. Jean enjoyed working in her flower garden. Her passion was caring for others.

She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, John Morris and Elmer Hamilton; brothers, Kenneth Irons, Harold Irons and Luster Irons; sister, Hazel Irons Dilday. Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Hamilton Daniels of Lake Village, AR; brothers, Bob Irons of McGehee, AR and Stanley Irons of Magnolia, AR; sisters, Linda Powell of Memphis, TN and Mildred Snow of Stanton, TN; grandchildren, Jennifer (John) Conner of Lake Village, AR and Michael McGee of Houston, TX and great-granddaughter, Ava McGee, Visitation will be held 5-7pm on Friday, September 14, 2018 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR.

Funeral services will be held 3:00pm on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Liberty Baptist Church in McGehee, AR with Rev. Steve Fleming officiating. Burial will be at McGehee Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chicot County Humane Shelter, 215 Stuart Island Road, Lake Village, AR 71653.
