Virginia L. Youngman, 100, of Centuria, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Lawson Manor Assisted Living in Luck, Wisconsin with her family at her side. She was born on April 4, 1918 in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota the daughter of Jake and Tressa (McGuire) Breigenzer. She married Fred (Fritz) Youngman on May 29, 1947 and to this union one son Dean was born.

The family resided in Sleepy Eye until moving to Centuria in December of 1953 where she has resided since. She worked for the United States Department of Agriculture in Brown County, Minnesota and Polk County, Wisconsin most of her adult life, retiring in July of 1975. She enjoyed baking, cooking, traveling with her friends and spending time with her family.

Virginia leaves to celebrate her memory: grandchildren; Jennifer Kahl, St. Croix Falls, WI; Eric Youngman (Bobbi Fjorden) , Centuria, WI; and Stacy Youngman (Jamie Booth), Balsam Lake, WI; great-grandchildren,; Jameson Kahl, Josey Kahl and Riley Youngman, sister-in-law, Bernice Youngman, special friends, Lynn and Gary Heilig and other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Tressa Breigenzer, son, Dean Youngman and his wife, Susan Youngman, sister, Betty and husband Willard “Shorty” Schmidt, sister-in-law, Kathleen and husband Delbert Kuester and brother–in-law, Ralph Youngman. A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Balsam Lake on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. with visitation at the church beginning at 10:00 A.M. Please join the family for lunch and continued visitation after the service in the church lunch/fellowship hall.

Virginia will be laid to rest alongside her husband Fred in the spring at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, Centuria. The Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Centuria has been entrusted with arrangements.
