Obituary for Mrs. Virginia L. Kinsey ‘Ginny” Virginia L. Kinsey “Ginny” on November 28, 2018, of Deptford, NJ, formerly of the Fairmount section of Philadelphia. Age 90. Wife of the late Mark J. Kinsey.

Beloved mother of the late Mark R. Kinsey (Joanne), Dennis (Marianne) of Lansdale, Fran (AnnaMarie) of Deptford. Sister of Doris (the late Tom), Elsie Umberger (Eddie) and the late Joan Beck, Marge Reynolds, Bobby Lee and Beverly Fletcher. Beloved and loving Grandmother to Vienna (Rob), Denise, Dennis, Marisa, Mark, Blaire, Fran, Jacqueline (Colleen), Great-grandmother of Taylor, Aiden, Michael and Ryan.

Surrogate grandmother to all the Iacovone grandkids! Ginny was blessed with many beautiful nieces and nephews whose love and devotion will never be forgotten. Ginny was born and raised in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia where she raised and adored her 3 sons.

She worked as an executive waitress for Stouffers for several years. She took pride in her role at Stouffers which was apparent by the way she set a table, ironed not only her clothes but the clothes of “many,” made a bed, folded her wash and last but not least her hair…never a piece out of place! “Ginny’s Cake” became one of the most popular topics of the Tri State Area.

Once you had it, you were hooked. Each and every one of her cakes were truly made from the bottom of her heart! Ginny loved her weekly game of Bingo in Fairmount and continued this in Deptford as a member of the Deptford Golden Age Club.

All who knew and loved her will never forget her love of the Lottery! Ginny was an avid sports fan and on any given day of the week it was not unusual to see her in front of the TV watching baseball, football, basketball, golf, etc…she loved them all. One of the greatest memories was seeing her tears as the Eagles became the Super Bowl Champions.

She loved watching all her grandchildren participate in their various sports and became a permanent fixture in St. Margaret’s and Gloucester Catholic’s gym cheering on not just her own but many others. She was a mom, aunt, grandmother and friend to many. Her words of wisdom were received and cherished by all.

There was no topic too small or large for Ginny. She understood it all, never judged and somehow knew the exact words of advice to offer. Ginny will no doubt hold a place in the hearts of many.

She will certainly be missed by all. Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 from 9 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church the Oratory, 2319 Green Street, Philadelphia, PA 19130 follow by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. interment Calvary Cemetery, 235 Matsonford Rd. , Conshohocken, PA 19428.
