Virginia Marcelene French, 89, of Elizabethtown, KY passed away Thursday, February 7, 2019 at the Helmwood Healthcare Center, Elizabethtown KY. Mrs. French was a member of Northside Baptist Church, Elizabethtown KY. She was a former member of Stithton Baptist Church, Radcliff, KY for over 40 years and was also a member of Gideons International.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Grover Kenneth French; her parents Lloyd & Lila McIntyre; and five siblings, Beulah Perciful, Morgan McIntyre, Alfred McIntyre, Cornelia Nicholson and Carroll McIntyre. Survivors include: Three daughters, Darlene Austin & her husband, Steve of Indiana, Dianne Springer & her husband, Bruce of Georgia, Denise Hawkins of Elizabethtown, KY; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and one sister in law, Sue McIntyre of Vine Grove, KY. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Saturday at the Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral services for Mrs. French will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY. Burial will follow in the Vine Grove Cemetery.
