Miss Virginia Sue Jackson, 90, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Parkview Nursing and Rehab in Paducah. She was born on March 7, 1929, in Paducah. Her parents were Louis and Virginia Beatrice Jackson.

Miss Jackson received her Bachelor of Music Education Degree at Murray State. While there she studied violin with Roman Prydatkenytch. She received her Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of Alabama, and her Master of Music Education Degree from Florida State.

Miss Jackson played two seasons with the Nashville Symphony before returning home to teach piano and violin in Paducah and to perform with the Paducah Symphony. A memorial graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, May 3, 2019 at Maplelawn Park Cemetery in Paducah with her cousin, Rev. Larry Potts officiating.
