Woodlock, nee Renesch, age 99, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019. Beloved Wife of the late Joseph W. Woodlock, Sr.; loving Mother of Joseph W. (Elizabeth), Robert (Maren) and Dr. Daniel (Jessica) Woodlock. Proud Grandmother of Hollis Woodlock, Shannon (Ryan) Novak, Caitlin (Wes) Crocket and Adele (fiancé Marcus Taylor) Woodlock, and Great-Grandmother of Declan, Cullen and Flynn Novak.

Loving Sister of Mariruth Renesch and Helen (Conrad) Schuberth and cherished Aunt of many. Virginia was born and raised in Chicago and was from St. Sabina Catholic parish. She raised her family in Western Springs and became a devoted and active parishioner in St. John of the Cross Catholic parish.

Earning her Bachelor’s Degree from the Chicago Teachers’ College, she was an accomplished Chicago Public School Teacher and a part-time substitute teacher for St. John of the Cross school. She had a love of dancing, painting and bridge, many times playing in multiple bridge clubs each week. Family and friends will be received at the Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home, 10501 W. Cermak Rd.

, Westchester (2 blks West of Mannheim Rd. ) on Sunday, March 17, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Monday 10:30 a.m. from the funeral home to St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, 5005 Wolf Road, Western Springs for 11:15 a.m. Mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip.
