OBITUARY Vito Pellegrino February 16, 1925 – January 9, 2019 Vito “Bill” Pellegrino, age 93, of St. Clair Shores, Michigan, died on January 9, 2019, in Detroit, Michigan. He was born on February 16, 1925, to the proud parents of Jack and Maria Pellegrino. Bill is the loving father of Mary K. (Michael) Dest, Anne (Robert) Cherry, Rita (Mark) Hawkins, Bill (Cherylynn) Pellegrino, Susan (Mike Reynolds) Pellegrino, Richard (Barb) Pellegrino, and Nancy (Dave) Fabry.

He is the cherished grandfather of 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Bill is the dear brother of Angeline (Anthony) Oddo and Rose Marcaccio and predeceased by his two sisters and two brothers. Bill will be missed by many family and friends.

Bill was a WWII Vet, Teacher for Lakeview Schools where he retired after many years of service, a longtime member of the Shorewood Kiwanis, a docent at the Detroit Historical Museum, and the 2018 SCS Grand Marshall for the Memorial Day Parade. Funeral Service will be held on Monday January 14, 2019, beginning with a gathering at 8:30 am until time of service at 9:30 am, at Kaul Funeral Home 28433 Jefferson Ave. , St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48081.

Family will receive friends on Sunday January 13, 2019, from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Memorials appreciated to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen P.O. Box 772091 Detroit, Michigan 48277.
