Vivian Mae Skinner, age 98, of Plainwell, Michigan and formerly of Montague, passed away Friday, May 25, 2018 in Kalamazoo following a brief illness. Vivian was born September 18, 1919 in Muskegon, the daughter of Edgar and Mabel (Morrison) Brooks. She married Gladden Skinner on October 30, 1939.

He preceded her in death in 1977. She is survived by her daughter, Rose (Don) Cahow; grandchildren, Anthony Moss, Becky, Heather (Larry) Cain, Cristina (T.S.) Sparks, Sam (Jamie) Moss and Dan (Kimberly) Moss; fifteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Besides her husband and her parents, Vivian was preceded in death by her infant son, Gladden Skinner, Jr.; great-grandson, Davon; brother, Wesley Brooks; sister, Evelyn Wiegand; half brothers, Raymond, Douglas and Cecil Douglas and half sister, Judy.

Visitation is Tuesday, May 29th, beginning at 11 am at Harris Funeral Home in Shelby. The funeral service will follow at Twelve Noon also at the funeral home with Pastor Sam Butler officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Shelby.
