Vivian’s Obituary Vivian Marie (Stapleton) McAfee, 69, of Jennings, Oklahoma passed peacefully from this earth May 20, 2019, at home with her husband Bob at her side. A celebration of life service will be Thursday, 2:00 p.m., May 30, 2019 at Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service Chapel with Reverend Kenneth Horn officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.

Vivian was born in Big Cabin, Oklahoma on February 16, 1940 to Delmer and Velma (Colvin) Stapleton. she was always an animal lover. Vivian raised and showed Persian cats for a number of years.

As she grew older her pets grew larger: rabbits, goats, cows, and horses. However, she still had her beloved little dogs Sissy and Bubba by her side until the end. Vivian had many titles: mother, wife, sister, and friend.

As a cosmetologist, she owned her own beauty shop for a number of years in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. She was a welder/welder‘s helper for number of years in Tulsa. She also worked for a Ford dealership in Tulsa, always working to support her family.

Vivian and Bob were married in Pea Ridge AR, January 18th, 1992. She loved living in the country, working outside with their animals, her lawn and flowers. When the boys were young and lived at home, they spent most Summer weekends at the lake with the family swimming, boating, and fishing.

Vivian and Bob took on the responsibility of a three-month-old baby girl, Rosie, after her mother died, they raised her as their own, always giving her their love. Vivian was a loving mother, wife, sister and friend. She was loved and will be missed.

Vivian is survived by her husband Robert Louis (Bob) McAfee of Jennings, Oklahoma; son, Jimmy Dean Hicks of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Rochela Marie (Hicks) Stacy and husband, Charles C. Stacy of Tulsa, Oklahoma; great grand- daughter, Felicity Marie Stacy; sisters: Wanda F. (Stapleton) Brown and husband, Leon Brown of Ouray, Colorado; Iline (Stapleton) Jones of Tulsa, Oklahoma; brothers: Raymond L. Stapleton and wife Barbara of Fairview, Missouri; Harley G. Stapleton and wife Gabrielle of Cassville, Missouri; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by sons: Bucky Leroy Hicks and Johnny Lee Hicks; mother, Velma E. (Colvin) Stapleton; father, Delmar F. Stapleton; maternal grandparents: Cora (Whistler) Calvin and George Leslie Des Calvin; paternal grandparents: Laura (Grisham) Stapleton and Alexander William Stapleton; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
