Vivian M. Sweet, 84, passed away suddenly on December 17, 2018 surrounded by her family in Humble, Texas. She was born on September 1, 1934 in Oakdale, Louisiana to parents Charlie and Mattie Johnson. Vivian married the love of her life, Bob Sweet, on July 12, 1952 and they enjoyed 66 years together.

She was a dedicated, loving wife and mother who had a caring and forgiving soul. Vivian was always fun to be around because she enjoyed telling jokes and making sure that you were having a good… Read More » time. She will remain in hearts of everyone who knew her.

Vivian is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mary Lynn Sweet; and her husband Bob G. Sweet, just recently in October. Vivian is lovingly survived by her daughter, Angelia Sweet Thompson; grandson, Kasey Thompson; great-grandchildren, Hannah Lynn Thompson, Brice Thompson, Emmie Lynn Thompson; as well as by numerous extended family members and friends. Friends are welcome to join the family for visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2018 at Carter-Conley Funeral Home.

Graveside services are pending for Saturday, December 22, 2018 where she will be laid to rest next to her husband at Cryer Cemetery in Oakdale, Louisiana under the care of Ardoin Allen Parish Funeral Home.
