Waldine’s Obituary Tulia, Texas—Waldine Jackson, 90, passed away Friday, February 8, 2019 in Tulia, Texas. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the First Baptist Church Chapel with Rev. Charles Davenport officiating.

Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the funeral home. Waldine was born on December 10, 1928 in Hamilton, Texas to William “Willie” and Opal White.

She married Carl Jackson on November 13, 1946 in Hamilton, County. Waldine was a pianist and played in several churches in the Texas Panhandle. She worked for the Exodus Ministry for the First Baptist Church of Tulia and played the piano for the prison ministry at the Tulia Unit.

Waldine passed away due to a lengthy illness and loved the Lord Our God with all her heart. Waldine’s family would like to thank Dr. Rossi and the nurses at Swisher Memorial Hospital and the Care team of Encompass Hospice for their special care and compassion given to her during the difficult times. She is preceded in death by her parents: William “Willie” and Opal White; her husband: Carl Jackson; her grandson: Bryan Wade Smith.

She is survived by two daughters: Virginia “Ginger” Rucker and husband Les of Tulia, TX and Anne Bryant of Wills Point, TX; one brother: Bill White & wife Wanda of Spring, TX, three grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.
